The C-12 serves the USAF in the OSA (operational support airlift) mission, supporting attaches assigned to overseas embassies are a military version of the Beech Super King Air 200. The c-12a (Super Kin Air a200) was first acquired to fill the USAF’s 1975 CX-X requirement for a utility transport for air attach at embassies abroad. The First civil Kin Air had flown on 20 January 1964 and the name came to refer to a family of similar airplanes.
